The story is free

We write your child's story for free, and you can change it as much as you like before deciding anything. You only pay if you choose to turn the story into an illustrated book, as a printed copy or a digital PDF.

How long it takes

Writing the story takes around three minutes. We show it on screen as soon as it's ready and email a copy to the address you provided. Illustrating a book you've paid for takes a few minutes more; we email you when it's finished.

Once we start illustrating

Payment is the point at which the story is final. The illustrations are painted to match the words, so the text can't be edited after illustration begins. Please read the story through before you pay.

Trademarked characters

If you've entered a trademarked character as one of the people in the story (for example Spider-Man, Peppa Pig or the Gruffalo), we'll create our own original character inspired by your choice rather than copying the official design. Reproducing a trademarked design would create copyright issues, so the illustration will not match the official character's appearance.

Printed books and delivery

Printing and delivery are included in the price shown for your country at checkout. Printed books are made to order and posted to the address you give at checkout. Because each book is personalised, it can't be returned once printed unless it arrives damaged or faulty, in which case we'll replace it.

Your data

We use your answers only to make your book, and you can ask us to delete them at any time. The full details are in our privacy policy.
